Here's the fish panel being built on the shelf of my Kilncare Pro Fuser kiln - the biggest piece yet 🙂

There's around 80 sections of coloured art glass, in more than 20 colours.

You can see the design being put together on a piece of Papyros paper. This is ceramic-based paper specially formulated for glass fusing. It stops the glass from sticking to the kiln shelf, and I can draw or print on it to help align the pieces perfectly.

In reality it took around 30 minutes to build the design on the kiln shelf, as every piece has to fit perfectly.

Before fusing, I'll put a clear piece over the top of the whole artwork.

This design was developed from a stained glass copper foil panel I made a couple of years ago.
